Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and its Members regarding the use of the Service provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• Service: Refers to all services provided by the Company for creating, managing, and sharing online resumes (CVs) and portfolios.
• Member: A person who agrees to these Terms, registers for an account, and uses the Service.
• Paid Service: Optional premium features available upon payment (e.g., specific subscriptions).

Chapter 2. Service Usage & Obligations

Article 3 (Member's Obligations)

Members must not engage in the following acts. Violation may result in account suspension:

• Infringing on the intellectual property rights or personal information of others.
• Uploading illegal, obscene, or defamatory content.
• Distributing malware or attempting to hack the Service.
• Impersonating company staff or administrators.

Article 4 (Content Responsibility)

The Company is not responsible for any damage arising from the Member's decision to publicly share their CV link (Short Code) with third parties. Members are responsible for managing the privacy of their own data.

Chapter 3. Payments & Refund Policy

Article 5 (Refund and Cancellation)

Members may request a full refund within 7 days of the first payment, provided the Word (RTF) download feature has not been used. Auto-renewal payments are not refundable. Members may cancel auto-renewal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Chapter 4. Termination

Article 6 (Termination & Data Retention)

Upon termination of the agreement (withdrawal), the Company may delete the Member's data after a 30-day grace period to prevent accidental loss. After this period, restoration is not possible.

Once the purpose of collection is achieved, the information is destroyed without delay. However, certain information may be retained for a specific period if required by relevant laws (e.g., E-Commerce Act).

4. Payment Processing

We use a third-party payment processor (Merchant of Record) to handle payments securely. Your payment information is processed in accordance with the payment processor's privacy policy and terms. We do not store complete credit card information on our servers.

5. AI Writing Assistance

The Service offers an optional AI writing feature that helps you draft and improve resume content (bullet points, self-introduction, and professional summary). When you use this feature, the resume text and metadata you submit to the feature are sent to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) for processing.

• The AI feature is opt-in and only invoked when you explicitly click an "AI Generate" or "AI Improve" button. No content is sent to the AI provider during normal browsing or editing.
• We do not send your account credentials, payment information, or unrelated personal data. Only the resume content you choose to process is transmitted.
• The AI provider may retain submissions for up to 30 days for abuse detection (per the provider's standard API policy) and does not use API submissions to train future models.
• We log AI usage on our side (timestamp, task type, token count, cost) for billing and abuse prevention. Logs do not include the resume content itself.
• You may avoid AI processing entirely by not using the AI feature — all other Service functionality works without it.

1. Eligibility

A refund is available when all of the following conditions are met:

• The refund is requested within 7 days of the original payment date.
• The Word (RTF) download feature has not been used.
• The payment is the first subscription purchase (auto-renewal payments are excluded).

3. Processing Time

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after approval. Settlement to your card may take additional time depending on your card issuer.

4. Non-Refundable Cases

• More than 7 days have passed since the payment date.
• The Word (RTF) download feature has been used at least once.
• The payment is from an automatic renewal.
• The account is suspended due to a violation of the Terms of Service.

5. Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

ChocoV subscriptions renew automatically each year on the original payment date.

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from the Subscription tab in your dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the currently paid period continues until its expiry.

Once an auto-renewal payment has been processed, it is final and not refundable.

6. Legal Basis

This policy is consistent with the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Article 17 (right of withdrawal for digital content before use). "Use" is defined as the first download of a Word (RTF) file.
